"Pearline Fisher, Gram Pearl to those who loved her, was the heart of the Tapscott Family.
She was a tall, slender, delicate being who occupied a rocking chair at the west facing window in the center of our house. As a child she was critically burned in a fire, leaving her with a permanent limp.

The strategic position of her rocking chair provided a clear view of the driveway where she could see band members walking to and from the garage as well as the actions of her rambunctious great grandchildren. The gentle nonagenarian acknowledged or admonished knowingly with a look and a nod.

Sunsets shed a golden glow onto her careworn face, as her wide-eyed great grandchildren sat at the foot of her rocking chair listening as she recounted decades of her story.

At the age of 98, our Pearl went away. She was fragile but enduring, meek yet powerful and determined. Listen to her story". - Reneé Wilcotts
